Scope note:

The style and culture of the Yuman-speaking North American Indian farmers of the Mojave Desert who traditionally resided along the lower Colorado River in what are now the U.S. states of Arizona and California and in Mexico. Today, the Mojave are organized into the Fort Mojave Indian Tribe, located in southern California and Nevada and western Arizona; its headquarters are in Needles, California.
