Cultures and styles of the Paiwan people lived in Taiwan. The Paiwan people primarily reside on the hills in Pingtung and Taitung. They used to be perceived as identical to the Rukai people. Paiwan contains two divisions, the Raval and the Butsul. The Paiwan society consists of a caste system ruled by aristocratic families, and the basic social unit is an “umaq” and its members. Maljeveq is Paiwan’s most renowned festival.
