Scope note:

Refers to the pottery style found in Cyprus during the Late Chalcolithic period from about 2800 to 2300 BCE. The style is characterized by handmade vessels covered with a thick red slip and then a black slip on which designs were scratched in order to uncover the underlying red slip.
