Works in which paint is applied on a textile support with only a thin gesso preparation. The works were flexible, often rolled and transported as banners or for other purposes. Popular in Spain and its colonies. For similar works on textiles having a thin glue preparation, popular in northern Europe and Italy, prefer "Tüchleins (visual works)."
