Scope note:

Hand-held tools, typically rectanglular, trapezoidal, or triangular in shape and made of plastic, used to flatten any lumps of paste that have accumulated under freshly mounted wallpaper and ensure that the wallpaper rests leveled on the surface to which it is applied.
