Scope note:

An emulsion of asphalt cement and water, that contains a small amount of emulsifying agent. The amount of asphalt in emulsion will depend upon the grade and type, but is typically 55-65% by volume. Uses include surfacing floors, painting pipes, and waterproofing concrete walls.
