Scope note:

An unstandardized name for pigment having a yellowish-green color; originally used for mixtures of green (viridian and later phthalocyanine green or chromic oxide) with yellow (cadmium yellow) pigments. Another recipe for permanent green is made by mixing Prussian blue with zinc yellow.
