Scope note:

A class of enigmatic neolithic monuments that are comprised of parallel banks with ditches at their outside edges. These may have squared or curved ends terminated with additional external mounds, and are found running across land, often for long distances. They represent some of the oldest prehistoric monumental structures of the islands of Britain and Ireland.
