Scope note:

Tropical forests of coniferous or broad-leaved trees that lose their leaves during the dry season; trees do not grow close together and there are few climbing plants. Seasonal rainforests are found in areas having short dry periods in an otherwise very wet tropical region. They are located between the tropical rain forests and the tropical savannas.
