Scope note:

Latch bolts that reduce friction applied to a strike plate. This is achieved by incorporating an extra swivelling antifriction piece held with a pivot pin, which allows a right angle direction of the motion initiated by the strike plate edge on the latch to the motion of the door, in order to avoid excessive pressure on the flat face of the latch bolt where it penetrates the lock.
