Khmu
- Scope note
- The Khmu are an Austroasiatic ethnic group primarily inhabiting northern Laos, where they comprise eleven percent of the population and constitute the country's largest minority group. They are also found in southwestern China (Yunnan province), Burma, Thailand, and Vietnam, though their official recognition varies by country—Vietnam recognizes them as a distinct ethnic group while China classifies them as a subgroup of Bulang.
