Scope note:

Ceramic ware produced by the Kirkcaldy pottery of David Methven and Sons, decorated in an imitation of Wemyss ware. The Kirkcaldy pottery is near the Fife Pottery which produced Wemyss ware. Abbotsford ware may indeed have been decorated by artists from the Fife Pottery.
