Scope note:

Pottery, primarily household wares, characterized by a brown glaze, originally made by the Rockingham Ceramic Factory in Yorkshire, England. Similar wares called "Rockingham ware" were later made in the United States in Chelsea, Massachusetts, Baltimore, Maryland, and elsewhere.
