Ahtlatl of turquoise (in mosaic or color) in posclassic central Mexico. Also known as a xiuhcoatl. This device used to amplify the propulsive force of spears or darts, in hunting as in warfare, is associated mainly with Xiuhteuctli, but also with Huitzilopochtli and Tezcatlipoca.
