Anotations

Scope note:

Grace churches are Protestant churches that came into being due to the Treaty of Altranstadt, and the Wroclaw Execution Trial (1709). At that time, the Lutherans in Silesia were granted six so-called grace churches, which were allowed to be built outside the city walls, but in stone and with a bell tower. Still in the tradition of peace churches, three wooden grace churches were built (Militsch, Freystadt and Sagan), and three others were erected as solid constructions (Hirschberg, Landeshut and Teschen).
