Curtains that hang below or under the main curtains, usually at a window. Examples are thin, often sheer or lace, curtains positioned under the main curtains to soften light and give privacy. For flat-hanging undercurtains fitted against the glass of a window or door, or immediately over a shade, use "glass curtains."
