Scope note:

Farmhouses typical of the Eiderstedt peninsula in Germany. These have square floor plans and a wooden framework on which rests a pyramid-shaped reed roof. Hay is stacked in the central space of the building, surrounded by the living quarters, stalls and other storage areas.
